Construction law specialist Kirsh to open own ADR firm

As of April 1, 2017, construction law specialist Harvey Kirsh is setting up shop as an independent arbitrator and mediator of construction disputes and claims for Kirsh Construction ADR Services Ltd.

Kirsh has more than 42 years of experience in the litigation, arbitration and mediation of complex construction claims and disputes.

He has acted as legal adviser and counsel with respect many high-profile construction projects, including Rogers Place (the home of the Edmonton Oilers); the Toronto Transit Commission’s Spadina Subway extension project; the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts (home of the Canadian Opera Company); and a wide range of other facilities – both public and private.

He was the founding president of the Canadian College of Construction Lawyers and is also a fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers and a fellow of the College of Commercial Arbitrators.

He has written numerous books and articles and has chaired conferences on construction and ADR topics.
