New responsibilities may mean more coursework for Ontario paralegals

Paralegal education programs in Ontario may have to change if the recommendations made in the Family Legal Services Review are approved.

“Paralegal education will be crucial to ensuring paralegals have the knowledge and skills to assist people in the areas of family law suggested in the Bonkalo report,” said Nicholas Dasios, co-ordinator of the paralegal program at Fanshawe College, one of the many schools across Ontario that offers paralegal studies.
