Former articling students return to Loopstra Nixon as associates

Loopstra Nixon LLP announced that former summer and articling students Robert Annibale, Alessia Grossi, Ian MacLeod and Victor Martins have joined the firm as associates. 

The firm’s press release notes that Annibale will work in the firm’s municipal land use planning and development group. Throughout law school, Annibale continued his work at the firm, assisting with a variety of matters, with an emphasis on municipal, corporate and commercial law.

Grossi is an associate in the firm’s labour and employment group, where she is developing her practice litigating and advising on a broad range of employment issues, including wrongful dismissals, breach of restrictive covenants and Human Rights Code violations.

MacLeod works with the firm’s municipal liability and insurance defence group. He represents municipalities, corporations and insurers in various matters ranging from occupiers’ liability, personal injury and motor vehicle liability to environmental and product liability disputes.

Martins is an associate in the commercial real estate group, where his practice is primarily focused on assisting and advising clients regarding a broad range of commercial and real estate law financing, leasing, construction, land development and transactional closing matters.
