Minden Gross promotes three to partner

Minden Gross LLP announced that three lawyers have been admitted to the partnership, Melodie Eng, Sepideh Nassabi and Rachel Goldman Robinson

According to the firm’s press release, Eng’s practice focuses on general leasing matters. She acts on matters involving office, retail, industrial, and mixed-use developments drafting and negotiating commercial leases and ancillary documentation. 

Nassabi is a litigator and intellectual property (IP) lawyer. She is also a registered trademark agent and assists companies of all sizes to develop brand strategies and portfolios in Canada. She works closely with lawyers in foreign jurisdictions to co-ordinate IP strategies abroad. As a litigator, she represents clients involved in a range of litigation, including construction, contractual disputes, commercial real estate and insolvency matters.

Goldman Robinson’s practice focuses on personal tax and estate planning. She concentrates on the preparation of public and private wills, powers of attorney for personal care and property, establishing testamentary trusts and estate planning and administration. She has been named chair of the firm’s wills and estates group.

In other firm news, Ryan Gelbart has been named as chair of the firm’s business law group while Irvin Schein has been elected by the partnership to its executive committee.

Gelbart has a broad corporate and commercial practice with a particular emphasis on commercial finance and private business transactions. He began his legal career at the firm as an articling student and was named partner in 2017.

As a member of Minden Gross LLP for more than 35 years, Schein is the chair of the litigation group and is a recognized mediator and arbitrator.
