Field Law, a western and northern regional law firm, is accepting applications for its Field Law Community Fund Program, which will distribute $75,000 in funding between Northern Alberta, Southern Alberta and the Northwest Territories.

According to the firm’s press release, since its inception in 2013, Field Law has donated more than $610,000 to 105 organizations across Alberta and the Northwest Territories. This year, as groups and charities continue to navigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, their work is vital to rebuilding communities and supporting those in greatest need.

“The Community Fund Program provides local groups and organizations with an opportunity to further develop the important work they are doing to make their communities stronger, said Jeremiah Kowalchuk, managing partner of Field Law, in the firm's press release. “We welcome registered and non-registered charities, teams, associations and community groups of all kinds to apply.”

Applicants can visit here to submit an application. Application entries close on Oct. 4, 2021, at 5 p.m. MST.

The public will have an opportunity to vote for their favourite applicants through an online voting portal that will go live on Oct. 7. Of the $75,000 in funding available, there will be $30,000 available for Northern Alberta market applicants, $30,000 for Southern Alberta organizations and $15,000 for the Northwest Territories. All winners will be announced online on Dec. 1.
