New Toronto partner for Stikeman Elliott

Stikeman Elliott welcomed Kevin Ackhurst as a partner in its competition and foreign investment group in Toronto. Ackhurst is competition lawyer who brings over 20 years of experience in the field.

He is well-recognized as a competition and foreign investment law expert with a deep understanding of the competitive dynamics of Canada’s major industrial and commercial sectors,” managing partner of the Toronto office, John Ciardullo, said in the firm’s press release.

Ackhurst advises on civil and criminal competition law matters, including abuse of dominance, cartels, competitor collaborations, mergers, misleading advertising, foreign investment reviews and pricing and distribution practices. He works with Canadian and international clients across a broad range of industries, including aerospace, agribusiness, automotive, consumer products, energy, media, financial services, mining, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, specialty chemicals, telecommunications and transportation.
