Ontario Court of Appeal grants woman’s appeal to register for Indian status

The Ontario Court of Appeal granted an appeal on April 20 to indigenous rights advocate Lynn Gehl that will allow her to register as an “Indian” under the Indian Act.

Gehl has been a human rights advocate for over 25 years. She has a doctorate in indigenous studies, a masters in Canadian and native studies, an undergraduate degree in anthropology and a diploma in chemical technology.
