Spark LLP hires its first associate

Just over a year since Spark LLP opened its doors in downtown Toronto, the firm has hired Samantha Schreiber as its first associate.

Schreiber, a 2012 graduate of Osgoode Hall law school, spent the first four years of her career at two boutique litigation firms, soaking up as much knowledge and experience as possible in commercial, insurance defence and class action litigation. She has appeared in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal.

While learning the ins and outs of litigation over the past few years, Schreiber has consistently sought out new ways of providing legal services to clients.

"So many lawyers out there do things in a certain way just because that’s the way it’s always been done,” said Schreiber. “That’s why I’m excited to join Spark LLP. Here, we devote a lot of time to thinking critically about even the smallest details involved in the practice of law. Saying ‘that’s the way it’s always been done’ just isn’t acceptable here.”
