LSUC Holocaust Remembrance Day program raises issues of anti-Semitism, freedom of expression

When does Holocaust denial become "hate speech?"

The Law Society of Upper Canada brought forth that question as a key topic for a panel discussion on April 25 in honour of Holocaust Remembrance Day. The dialogue that followed debated the limits of the legal system to tackle these issues, the importance of freedom of expression and how anti-Semitism can be stemmed through education.
