Dentons has announced the formation of an affiliation with Jones Group International (JGI) to provide strategic advice to clients on a broad array of international policy and national security issues.

As part of the exclusive relationship, JGI founder and CEO, Gen. James L. Jones, a former national security adviser to former U.S. president Barack Obama, has become a senior adviser to the firm.

Under the affiliation, JGI and Dentons will assist clients in developing relationships with foreign governments, identifying and developing new business opportunities and assisting with domestic and international political, business and regulatory challenges.

The relationship will expand the range of services provided by both organizations to address growing global issues such as internal and external security, organizational stability and data management and protection.

"The geopolitical landscape is changing faster than ever before, making the nuances of political, business and economic issues increasingly more complex to navigate," said Jones.

"Developing thoughtful and creative solutions to these issues in both the public and private sectors has been a focus of my career and I look forward to working in concert with Dentons to benefit our clients around the globe."
