Toronto local body to hear appeals of committee of adjustment decisions

Starting May 3, the Toronto Local Appeal Body will begin to hear appeals from the city’s committee of adjustment.

The Toronto Local Appeal Body (TLAB) is an independent tribunal established by the City of Toronto Act. TLAB will adjudicate appeals of committee of adjustment decisions on minor variance applications and consent applications in  Toronto.

TLAB is constituted for the city of Toronto under s. 115 of the City of Toronto Act and has the powers of a local appeal body under that section. TLAB will hear...
