Saskatchewan to use notwithstanding clause over Catholic school funding decision

The government of Saskatchewan on May 1 said it will use the "notwithstanding clause" in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms to block a Court of Queen’s Bench ruling that said the province’s funding of non-Catholic students attending Catholic schools violates the Charter.
