■ Miller Thomson LLP is opening an office in Vaughan, Ont. The 22,000-square-foot facility in the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre will initially support 30 lawyers and offer a full range of legal services.

■ Twelve Canadian lawyers have joined Norton Rose Fulbright as partners. Joining the firm’s Calgary office are Michael Bolitho, business law; James O’Sullivan, business law; and Elizabeth Williams, IP and brand management. Charles Foucreault will focus on litigation in the Montreal office. Jamie Macdonald, litigation; and Peter MacTavish, employment and labour, join the Ottawa office. New to the Quebec office are Jean-Sébastien Cloutier, employment and labour; Pierre Duquette, litigation; and Jean-Nicolas Prévost, business. And Amy Grenon, IP litigation; Maya Medeiros, IP prosecution; and Michael Torrance, employment and labour; will work from the Toronto office.

■ Goldman Sloan Nash & Haber LLP has hired Christine Kellowan as an associate working with the firm’s construction and litigation practice groups. Kellowan represents various parties in the construction industry, including owners, general contractors, developers and subtrades.

■ David Morrison is joining Bereskin & Parr LLP’s Waterloo, Ont., office as an associate. He will work with the firm’s electrical and computer technology practice group. Morrison’s practice focuses on preparation and prosecution of national and international patent applications in all technology sectors.
