Law Society of Saskatchewan recovers from ransomware attack

The Law Society of Saskatchewan has recovered from a ransomware attack that encrypted its files and made its IT system inoperable last month.

Ransomware attacks have been thrown into the spotlight since the WannaCry cyberattack started on May 12 impacting 150 countries and spreading over 230,000 computers. The WannaCry cyberattack targets Microsoft Windows operating systems, highjacking personal or company data and holding it for ransom.
