Alberta justice minister probes sex assault victim's jailing during trial

If Kathleen Ganley has her way the justice system will publicly answer for its behaviour in what has come to be called the Angela Cardinal case. The five-day incarceration of a sexual assault victim testifying at the 2015 trial of her accused “shows an ugly side of our system,” the Alberta Justice minister said at a news conference on June 5.
