Dentons partner named to International Court of Arbitration

Aigoul Kenjebayeva, Dentons’ managing partner for Kazakhstan and Central Asia, has been appointed a member of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce.

The decision was made at a recent meeting of the ICC World Council in Nairobi, Kenya.

This is the first time in history that a lawyer from Kazakhstan has been appointed to this prestigious position.

The ICC International Arbitration Court is the largest arbitration institution in the world. Since 1923 this organization has been considering commercial disputes between companies and entrepreneurs, as well as investment disputes. The court has an exceptionally high reputation. The largest players of the market entrust it with the most important disputes arising from various sectors of the economy.

The World Council is the senior governing body and consists of the top managers of the world's largest companies. The ICC comprises more than six million members from approximately 100 countries.
