Federal court decision may have impact on evidence in immigration cases, lawyer says

A Federal Court judge ruled immigration officials were “vague” and “non-transparent” in denying an application for permanent residency, and the lawyer who represented the applicant in court said the decision could have consequences for future immigration cases.

On June 19, Justice Alan S. Diner granted the application for judicial review of the case of Toki v. Canada (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship) 2017 FC 606.
