Megan Stymiest and Martin Bourgeois have joined Cox & Palmer as associates and will work out of its Fredericton office.

Stymiest, who received her law degree from the University of New Brunswick, worked as an intern at the Canadian embassy in Washington before her call to the bar in 2016. She then joined Martin & Cook in Miramichi, N.B., and has a general litigation practice with a focus on insurance litigation.

Bourgeois obtained his law degree from Université de Moncton in 2015 and was called to the bar a year later. His general litigation practice focuses on science and technology.

Prior to pursuing a legal career, he spent more than 10 years researching and developing specialized instrumentation for the optics industry. He taught physics at Université de Moncton and was involved in a number of science and technology societies.
