Ontario breached its duty to consult before approving quarry licence: Divisional Court

The Ontario government failed to carry out its duty to consult a First Nation on numerous occasions before approving a licence for a limestone quarry, the province’s Divisional Court has ruled, setting aside the licence and ordering adequate consultations on the project.
