IP associate Pohl joins Bereskin & Parr in Montreal

Bereskin & Parr announced that Joanna Pohl has joined the firm's Montreal office as an associate (technical consultant) and member of the firm's life sciences practice group.

Her practice focuses on patents relating to the life sciences, including biotechnology, chemical and pharmaceutical inventions. Prior to joining Bereskin & Parr, Pohl previously worked as a scientific project manager in a Montreal based clinical research organization where she managed bioequivalence trials for international sponsor companies.

She holds a bachelor of science in psychology and neurosciences from Concordia University, a master of arts in psychology from Queen's University and a PhD in neurosciences from McGill University.

 While completing her PhD, Pohl also worked as a co-ordinator at the Douglas-Bell Canada Brain Bank and was a committee member of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada Young Practitioner’s Group. She has also extensively published and presented her research studies locally and internationally.
