Global law firm Dentons strengthened its team in Frankfurt, Germany, on Aug. 1 with the recruitment of counsel Markus Schrader. He joins the banking and finance practice led by Arne Klüwer as well as the capital markets team led by Robert Michels.

Schrader joins Dentons from Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt, where he started 2003 and served as director and senior counsel since 2010. In this role, he advised Deutsche Bank and its subsidiaries on questions of German and European banking and securities regulation, compliance and governance issues.

He also supported the bank on corporate, M&A and capital markets transactions, including recently the structuring and implementation of national and international transactions in the banking sector (including fin-tech).

Andreas Ziegenhagen, Germany managing partner, commented. “The expansion of the banking and finance team with respected practitioners like Markus Schrader is of strategic importance to the further development of Dentons in Germany.”
