Yes there is a fentanyl crisis, but let’s get the sentencing right

The word "fentanyl" is cloaked in alarm. This is not only true in Canada. In August President Trump declared the opioid crisis a national emergency. From a potency perspective, fentanyl is in a league of its own. However, from a criminal justice view, it is the new heroin. Fentanyl has hit plea courts.
