Former Federal Court of Appeal justice Linden, 82, was Canadian tort law pioneer

Known as a giant in the field of tort law, former judge Allen M. Linden’s legacy was much more than that to the people who knew him.

The Honourable Allen M. LindenPassionate, joyful, fun and engaged are words used to describe Linden, who passed away from cancer at age 82 on Aug. 23. His peers and family said he will be remembered as a mentor, teacher, advocate of law reform, former justice and beloved family member.
