Total fees paid to lawyers working for Quebec public bodies not always privileged information: Appeal Court

The total amount of professional billings paid to lawyers working on behalf of public bodies is not necessarily automatically protected by solicitor-client privilege, the Quebec Court of Appeal has ruled.
