Toronto's new system for handling parking ticket disputes called 'goofy cash grab'

The City of Toronto has launched a new system to deal with disputes about parking tickets, but concerns are being raised not only about the structure of the system but also its constitutionality.

The Administrative Penalty System came into force Aug. 27. Under the new process, the city will handle parking disputes instead of the provincial court system, which it says will “provide better customer service by offering a faster, easier and more convenient review process.”
