Manitoba toughens court security

Two years ago a Winnipeg lawyer lost her right hand when she opened a mail bomb sent to her law office. In the wake of that incident and a series of bomb threats and suspicious packages delivered to court facilities, Manitoba’s Court Security Act was reviewed. Now, the provincial government has passed amended legislation to increase court security.
