Report raises concerns about potential $8 billion Alberta oil well liability

A prominent think tank is raising concerns about a potential $8 billion liability if “orphaned” oil wells in Alberta are not dealt with, and a number of legal scholars are saying a recent court decision has muddied the waters considerably.
