Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP has hired Alain Garneau as counsel in its Quebec City office.

Garneau joined the firm after spending nearly 40 years working as principle lawyer and vice president of legal affairs at seed, fertilizer and agricultural supplier Coop Fédérée. Using his knowledge of agricultural markets and supply management systems, Garneau will support Fasken Martineau's clients in the agri-food and co-operative sectors.

"We are very pleased to be welcoming Alain among us. He has in-depth knowledge of the agri-food and cooperative sectors, both legally and from a business perspective. His presence will allow us to play an even greater strategic role with clients in this industry," said Carl Tremblay, managing partner of Fasken Martineau's Quebec City office.
