Frothy dispute over Alberta’s craft beer markup and provincial grant system

Alberta has been facing scrutiny over the past few years on its policies regarding the burgeoning local craft beer industry in the province.

Historically, Alberta’s policy has been to impose a markup on all liquor that is sold throughout the province pursuant to the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Act, RSA 2000 c G-1.
