Rayman practises commercial litigation and defends professionals on liability issues related to expropriations law. He is also founding partner of Rayman Beitchman LLP, a Toronto-based litigation firm focused on expropriations law and property rights litigation.

Rayman has argued before all levels of court in Ontario and at the federal level. He represented the applicant at the Supreme Court of Canada in Antrim Truck Centre Ltd. v. Ontario (Transportation).

He has been involved in major infrastructure projects throughout Ontario, including the 407 East, Metrolinx initiatives and various LRT projects. Rayman is a past president of the Ontario Expropriations Association.

"We are delighted to have someone as accomplished and experienced as Shane Rayman join Owner's Counsel of America. His unique legal expertise and perspectives in the area of Canadian expropriations law and related land compensation issues will be a valuable resource to our membership base," said OCA executive director Leslie Fields.

The OCA is a network of eminent domain attorneys who defend the rights of private property owners primarily across the U.S.A. OCA lawyers represent landowners against any agency that may be armed with the power of eminent domain.
