MacCready new partner for DLA Piper

Charlie MacCready has joined the Toronto office of Vancouver-based DLA Piper (Canada) LLP as a partner.

MacCready specializes in public and private mergers and acquisitions, public financings, regulatory compliance, board and special committee representation and other securities-related matters for public and private entities and securities dealers. He also has experience in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, securities, corporate and business law and has dealt with clients in the fields of technology, mining, insurance, agriculture, oil and gas, renewables and manufacturing.

Previously, MacCready worked as a manager in the corporate finance branch of the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) and was a member of the OSC’s securities advisory committee. MacCready also served as co-chair of the Canadian Securities Administrators’ prospectus system committee.
