MLT Aikins hires three associates for Winnipeg office

There are three new associates in the Winnipeg office of MLT Aikins.

Harmanjit (Harman) Mavi does succession and real estate planning. Previously, he worked as a wills and estates lawyer with Pitblado Law and as an associate with Campbell Marr LLP (now Fast Trippier Clunie Wittman Santos LLP). Mavi holds a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation. He is fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi. Mavi was called to the bar in 2013.

Geoffrey Toews practises corporate and commercial law, advising clients on commercial real estate and business transactions. He also provides advice on condominium developments, corporate reorganization and governance, and commercial leases. Before joining MLT Aikins, Toews was a barrister and solicitor with Hook & Smith, and a graduate-at-law at Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLPToews was called to the bar in 2013.

Marc Unger focuses on corporate and commercial law, especially banking and commercial lending, commercial real estate, mergers and acquisitions and privacy law. He served as legal counsel for Farm Credit Canada and was a lawyer at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP. He has been called to the bar in Quebec, Ontario and Saskatchewan. Unger is bilingual in French and English.
