In response to British Columbia’s red-hot real estate market, various levels of government have taken measures to mediate the growth of the residential market and to address public concerns regarding perceived loopholes related to rental regulations. One such measure includes Bill 16, the Tenancy Statutes Amendment Act, 2017.
