Tim Moseley is the new vice-chair of the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC).

Moseley has been working with the OSC as a commissioner and as chair of its adjudicative committee. Prior to that, he served as senior vice-president and chief compliance officer for the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce’s worldwide operations after leading the bank’s litigation group. While at Merrill Lynch Canada, he also headed the litigation group. From 1995 to 2001, Moseley was litigation counsel and then manager of litigation in the OSC’s enforcement branch.

Since his initial appointment as a commissioner, Moseley has worked to advance the OSC’s tribunal best practices, including the development of its new rules of procedure and practice guidelines.

Tim brings a unique set of skills to the vice-chair role, with his extensive securities litigation expertise, regulatory background and experience in enforcement and global business environments," said OSC chair Maureen Jensen

“During his time as a commissioner, Tim has been a strong contributor to the OSC's tribunal proceedings, and his recent adjudicative experience will allow for a seamless transition into the vice-chair role.”
