Canadians on board of U.K.-based technology incubator

Mishcon de Reya LLP, a London, U.K.-based business law firm has founded a technology accelerator and invited two Canadians to serve on its board of directors.

MDR Lab is a program for tech startups in the legal space. It assists early stage and growing companies from the concept through the revenue-generating stages. Mishcon de Reya’s lawyers and business experts offer advice, mentorship and education to the startups.

According to the firm, MDR Lab’s board “will become ambassadors for MDR LAB in key markets across the globe, with current members based in the U.K., U.S., Canada, Asia Pacific and Israel.”

Nick West, chief strategy officer at Mishcon said an international board “will enable us to know more about what’s happening on the ground in … key tech hubs and better understand how to attract the most innovative companies to come and work with us.”

The two Canadian-based members are Noah Waisberg and Amy ter Haar.

Waisberg is the CEO and co-founder of Kira Systems, which produces contract review and analysis software.

Ter Haar is president of Integra Ledger, a company that offers a blockchain utility for legal applications. She is also a program lawyer, legal curriculum design, for the Osgoode Professional Development program.
