Gowling partner to head Canadian Solar Industries Association

Thomas J. Timmins, who is a Toronto-based partner of Gowling WLG and the leader of the firm’s renewable energy group, has been named as chair of the Canadian Solar Industries Association (CanSIA).
 
In his new role, Timmins will lead the nine-member board in the promotion of the Canadian solar industry and the economic, environmental and technological benefits created by the use and adoption of solar energy.

At Gowling, Timmins’ practice involves corporate, commercial and transactional law across a number of sectors, including renewable energy, infrastructure, technology and transnational mergers and acquisitions.
