Bereskin & Parr adds IP associate to Toronto office

Bereskin & Parr announced that Donald Bocchinfuso has joined the firm’s Toronto office as an associate and member of its life sciences group.

Prior to joining Bereskin and Parr, Bocchinfuso was an intellectual property (IP) lawyer at Innovate LLP in Toronto, where he prosecuted patent and trademark applications. He has analyzed portfolios of large multinational companies and assisted in the formulation of portfolio management strategies, also regularly consulting with entrepreneurs and companies of various sizes.

Prior to being admitted to the Ontario bar, Bocchinfuso was an articling student in the IP department of the international law firm Gowling WLG. While at Gowling, he was active as a member of the diversity & inclusion committee, and he was vice‐president and senior adviser of the Western IP Association while at law school at Western University.

He holds both a juris doctor and a bachelor of medical sciences degree from Western and a master of science from the University of Toronto.

He was called to the Ontario bar in 2017.
