Manitoba’s new eRegistration for land titles facing ‘mixed reaction’

Manitoba real estate lawyers and others who regularly send land title forms to that province’s property registry are about to enter the e-filing era — whether they like it or not.

Come April 3, it will be mandatory for Manitoba’s lawyers, financial institutions and anyone filing more than 500 title-related documents per year to Manitoba’s Property Registry to do it electronically via eRegistration, an initiative to modernize the current paper based system.
