Sarah Bird is now a partner and member of the corporate commercial group at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP.

Bird’s practice areas will include infrastructure projects, project finance and project development. She is experienced in Aboriginal law, general corporate commercial law and lending laws and has a reputation of being able to negotiate complex financing deals and manage business risks.

Bird has served as lead counsel and negotiator for proponents and lenders regarding all phases of social infrastructure (hospitals, schools, social housing and more) and transportation projects. She has also advised lenders and resource companies on securing financing or refinancing for projects.

“Sarah will be a strong addition to our corporate team in Vancouver,” said Frank Callaghan, BLG’s national group head, corporate and capital markets.

“Her extensive  knowledge and experience in project finance will complement the group’s existing expertise in public-private partnerships (P3) and infrastructure.”
