Kelly Friedman is now a national counsel with the discovery services group at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG).

A litigator with expertise in data management issues, including e-discovery, cybersecurity and anti-spam regulation, Friedman has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, the Supreme Court of Canada and administrative bodies such as the Ontario Energy Board.

She is the co-editor of the international code of practice for electronic discovery standard ISO/IEC 27050-3: 2017.

Friedman is chair of the precedents subcommittee of the Ontario E-Discovery Implementation Committee, which prepares model electronic discovery documents to guide litigators and the judiciary in Ontario.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kelly to our team,” said Cindy Clarke, BLG’s national group head, specialized litigation.

“Her reputation as one of Canada’s leading e-discovery lawyers, and her wide range of experience in e-discovery, governance, data management and privacy will enhance the value we deliver to our clients.”
