Winnipeg-based Pitblado Law has promoted one member to partner and hired a family law practitioner.

The new partner, Andrew Buck, has a business law practice with a focus on electronic commerce issues. He assists clients with situations involving online delivery of goods and services, privacy, data protection, access to information, anti-spam compliance and intellectual property control and capitalization. Buck also offers advice and guidance on responding to privacy breaches. Part of his practice involves conducting research and providing analysis.

Alexandra Aquila is the newest member of the firm’s family law team. Trained in the U.K. at the University of Kent, she completed examinations through the National Committee of Accreditation and Robson Hall faculty of law. She is fluent in Spanish and Italian.
