Newfoundland and Labrador Legal Aid Commission makes appointments

The Newfoundland and Labrador Legal Aid Commission has announced the most recent iteration of its board.

Justice Timothy Chalker was named as chair. He held the same position 15 years ago. Justice Chalker is a retired provincial court judge.

Rod Zdebiak, a partner with Stewart McKelvey, Allison Hagerty, a community member from Labrador, and Donna Strong, a lawyer with the Human Rights Commission of Newfoundland and Labrador were all reappointed to the board.

Greg French, founding member of French Law Offices, Mark Duggan a community member from St. John’s, and Allison Whelan, an associate at Stewart McKelvey, were all newly appointed to the board.
