As a compliance risk management specialist, she has been involved in securities industry groups such as the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada’s (IIROC) Ontario district council.

Lawrence (Lorie) Haber been a securities lawyer, a senior financial industry executive and a corporate board member. He was a member of the Ontario government’s expert committee to consider financial advisory and financial planning policy alternatives.

Poonam Puri is a professor at Osgoode Hall where she teaches securities regulation and investor protection. She was also one of two research directors for the expert panel on securities regulation created by the federal Ministry of Finance, which led to the proposed common securities regulator.

“I am very pleased to welcome Cecilia, Lawrence and Poonam to the commission, and am confident their unique skill sets and longstanding expertise in securities law will help the commission deliver on its mandate for investors and Ontario’s capital markets,” said chair Maureen Jensen.
