McCarthy Tétrault announces 18 new partners

Eighteen new members have been added to the ranks of partnership at McCarthy Tétrault LLP.

Both income and equity partners were named throughout the country.

There are nine equity partners.

Pierre-Jérôme Bouchard (Montreal) has a commercial litigation practice, with an emphasis on class actions, as well as professional negligence and product liability disputes at both the trial and appellate levels.

Fraser Bourne (Montreal) does corporate law and has specific experience in mergers and acquisitions, securities law, capital markets transactions and corporate governance.

Aidan Cameron (Vancouver) practises commercial litigation practice and handles matters related to construction, real estate, and mining industries, and cases involving product liability, environmental law, aboriginal law, municipal law, and insurance coverage issues.
 
Walker MacLeod (Calgary) practises bankruptcy and restructuring law and acts for senior and junior creditors, debtors, receivers, monitors and trustees in a wide range of corporate insolvency, restructuring and workout related matters.

Kate McNeill-Keller (Toronto) is in the labour and employment group where she represents private and public sector employers in matters including employment standards compliance, wrongful dismissal litigation, labour arbitrations, collective bargaining, occupational health and safety, human rights litigation, workplace investigations and training, and labour and employment issues arising in corporate transactions.

Tristan Musgrave (Toronto) maintains a commercial real estate and business law transactional practice, and with an emphasis on complex infrastructure and development work for both public and private sector clients.

Lynn Parsons (Toronto) focuses on project finance and secured lending, regularly advising banks and other financial institutions as well as borrowers in the development and financing of projects in the energy, infrastructure and mining sectors.

Jocelyn T. Perreault (Montreal) practises banking and commercial litigiation but mainly specializes in insolvency law, advising clients in the course of informal workouts, formal restructuring proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act or the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, bankruptcy and receivership matters.

Cindy Vaillancourt (Montreal) has a focus on environmental, climate change and regulatory law and advises clients with regards to transactional due diligence and related negotiation, carbon market, regulatory compliance, contaminated land remediation, audit process, environmental management system and permit required for industrial projects in Quebec.

There are also nine income partners.

Paul Blanchard (Montreal) practises civil litigation, including professional and medical responsibility (civil and disciplinary), and commercial litigation.

Elisa Clavier (Montreal) handles commercial litigation and class actions related to securities regulation, professional liability, financial fraud and product liability.

Alexandra Cocks (Vancouver) performs complex commercial litigation, including class action defence, shareholder disputes, including oppression claims, disputes regarding insurance coverage, financial services, real estate and construction.

Ryan Hornby (Toronto) has a general corporate law practice which includes corporate finance (debt and equity), securities, mergers and acquisitions and advising on various matters relating to corporate governance.

Kimberly Howard (Calgary) practises corporate law with an emphasis on energy, regulatory and environmental law. Her experience in energy regulatory law includes both electricity, and oil and gas related matters.

Fiona Legere (Toronto) does significant trial and appellate litigation, with a focus on complex commercial litigation almost exclusively in the areas of intellectual property.

Charlene Schafer (Toronto) maintains a transactional real property practice with a focus on sophisticated commercial transactions, particularly in the private equity space.

Deandra Schubert (Toronto) focuses on public and private mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance (equity and debt), corporate governance and shareholder activism and general corporate matters.

Bryan West (Calgary) is a litigator who acts for developers, energy companies, information and technology companies, engineering firms, commercial landlords, hotels and resorts, manufactures, large non-profits and individual executives.
