A U.S.-based technology accelerator program has chosen Dentons to be one of its partners.

Dentons will now be the preferred law firm for startups in the Techstars program in six jurisdictions around the world: Canada, Dubai, Europe, France, Germany and Singapore.

Startups accepted into the Techstars Accelerator program typically spend a three-month on-site residency where they are provided with access to mentors along with business development and technology support. At the end of the program, the startups have the opportunity to pitch their business to investors.

“We are excited to be collaborating with Techstars, a leading organization in the tech community with the outstanding support they provide to founders of emerging companies,” said Andre Garber, director of the Dentons Canada startup program.

“Techstars is the worldwide network that helps entrepreneurs succeed,” said Amy Smith, vice-president of partnerships at Techstars. “A key component to this success is giving entrepreneurs access to resources. Through this new partnership with Dentons, Techstars portfolio companies will have access to legal services in nearly every region of the world.”
