Canadians concerned over ‘growing risks to their reputation’ in an online world: privacy commissioner

Canadians need better protection against online reputation harm, says the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC).

The OPC recently issued a report stressing both existing and proposed new legal measures to achieve that goal, including the right to request search engines to de-index web pages that contain inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information about themselves.
