Challenges expected to federal amendments for increased protection of fish

Fisheries and Oceans Minister Dominic Leblanc tabled Bill C-68 on Feb. 6, 2018, proposing amendments to the Fisheries Act which are designed to achieve better protection of fish and fisheries throughout Canada. It should be noted that the Fisheries Act is one of Canada’s major pieces of federal environmental legislation.
