B.C. budget boosts legal aid funding but it’s still ‘woefully underfunded,’ women’s equality group says

Legal organizations and practitioners in British Columbia are applauding the increase in funding for the justice sector in the recent provincial budget, but are saying much more needs to be put into the legal aid system to ensure it functions properly for clients and is able to attract experienced lawyers.
