More amendments to B.C. spill reporting and response regime

On Jan. 30, 2018, the government of British Columbia announced its intention to proceed with the second phase of regulations concerning the provincial spill reporting and response regime.

The provincial government is seeking feedback from stakeholders and the public with respect to the following five areas:

Spill Response Times — developing response-time requirements, as the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy currently does not regulate in this area;Geographic Response Plans — developing spill response plans that take into account the unique characteristics of potential spill...
