Law Society of Ontario reviewing size, structure of Convocation

The Law Society of Ontario’s (LSO) governance task force has proposed that benchers consider models for a smaller Convocation, the length of time benchers and treasurers can serve, as well as new governance and conduct policies.

The task force, established by treasurer Paul Schabas in September 2016, retained Hansell LLP to research and report on the governance practices of other self-regulatory bodies.
